Insurance built for contractors and hard-to-place risks.
Silver Ridge Insurance Agency places property and casualty coverage for general contractors, trade contractors, developers and businesses, including risks the standard market won't write.
Choose your terrain.
Every program is built around how you actually work: your contracts, your subcontractors, your projects and your loss history. Select a peak.
Contractors General Liability
Premises, operations and completed operations, with additional insured, primary/non-contributory and waiver endorsements to meet contract requirements.
Builder's Risk
Structures, materials and soft costs during new construction and renovation, by project or on a reporting basis.
Excess & Umbrella
Higher limits over your primary policies to satisfy owner, lender and GC requirements.
Workers' Compensation
Statutory coverage and employer's liability, with help on class codes, audits and sub certificates.
Commercial Auto
Trucks, vans, fleets and hired/non-owned auto for crews and materials.
Contractors Equipment
Owned, leased and rented tools and heavy equipment, on site or in transit.
Contractors Pollution
Pollution conditions from your operations, such as mold, lead or fuel releases, which standard GL excludes.
OCP & Project Policies
Owners and contractors protective and project-specific programs when a contract calls for dedicated limits.

Roofing, demolition, excavation, framing and exterior work that admitted carriers decline or restrict.

From the GC to the last sub on site.
Above the standard market's tree line.
Excess and surplus (E&S) insurers write risks admitted carriers won't, or won't at the limits you need. We build an underwriter-ready submission and take it there.
Surplus lines policies are written by non-admitted insurers and are generally not protected by state insurance guaranty funds. Placements are made in accordance with applicable state surplus lines laws.
We speak construction.
An independent agency focused on contractors and commercial accounts, working for you rather than a single insurance company.
Contract-aware coverage
We review your contracts' insurance requirements so additional insured, waiver and limit obligations are actually met.
Market access
Admitted and E&S markets, so one submission reaches the carriers that fit your class and history.
Certificates & service
Fast certificates and endorsements when an owner or GC needs them before you can get on site.
Claims advocacy
When a claim or tender comes in, we help you report it properly and stay in your corner.
From submission to certificate.
Send what you have
Current policies, loss runs, payroll or receipts, a description of operations and any contract insurance requirements.
We build the submission
We fill the gaps and present your operation the way underwriters need to see it.
Market & compare
Admitted and E&S markets, laid out side by side, exclusions included.
Bind & service
We bind coverage, issue certificates and endorsements, and support you through audits and renewals.
A steady partner for the people who build.
Silver Ridge Insurance Agency was built to give contractors and commercial clients a broker who understands both the jobsite and the policy language.
Construction insurance is shaped by contracts, subcontractor agreements and jurisdiction as much as by the policy itself. We take the time to understand your operations, find the right markets, and make sure the coverage you buy matches the obligations you've signed.

Common questions
What is excess and surplus (E&S) lines insurance?
E&S insurance is written by non-admitted insurers that aren't bound by the same rate and form filings as standard (admitted) carriers. That flexibility lets them cover risks the standard market declines, such as high-hazard trades, difficult loss histories or unusually high limits.
Is an E&S policy as good as a standard policy?
It can be, but forms vary more from carrier to carrier, so exclusions and conditions need a careful read. Surplus lines policies are also generally not backed by state insurance guaranty funds. We go through these differences with you before you bind.
What do you need for a construction quote?
Typically: a description of operations, revenue or receipts, payroll by class, subcontracted costs, 5 years of loss runs, current policy declarations, and sample contracts or the insurance requirements you're being asked to meet. Send what you have and we'll help with the rest.
Can you help with additional insured and certificate requirements?
Yes. Send us the contract's insurance section and the certificate holder details. We'll check which endorsements are required (such as additional insured, primary/non-contributory or waiver of subrogation) and confirm whether your policies provide them.
What should I do if I receive a claim or a tender letter?
Contact us right away and send everything you received. Late notice can jeopardize coverage, so we'll help you report it to the right carrier and track the response.
Renewal coming up, or a project starting?
Let's talk about your account.
